A beginners guide to
Art Collecting,
and why you should!

25 June 2022 | Colaba

We’ve lost track of all the times we’ve been asked about COLLECTING ART. So here’s our answer: a no holds barred conversation with the team behind TARQ. FAQs, top tips, payment options, decision making, Artist selection, why art, what art, art as investment: yup, we’ve got you covered! All this, surrounded by incredible and reasonably priced art works on special display just for you!

Also, we’ll share our own collecting journeys (baby steps still!), and the magic of finding art that you can’t live without.

If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines wondering if you should dive into buying art, let this be your springboard!

Kanika Shah and Nachiket Prakash

3 July 2022 | Zoom

We're brewing some #AWMmagic with our very first edition of AWM Platform, a virtual space for artists to showcase their work to a discerning audience. As we expand our offerings at AWM, this is our effort to support and promote artists and works we love.

For our first edition we focus on Kanika Shah (Vadodara) and Nachiket Prakash (Pune). We'll share more about their respective practices in the coming days on our social media handle, until then, here are brief notes on them.

We hope this format will allow you to engage with new artists, discover captivating art and perhaps even take the plunge into art buying! We encourage you to chat, ask questions freely during the session. Any enquiries and  purchases to be made directly from the artist.

As is our norm, the ticket amount includes a fee to the artist. AWM does not accept any commission or fee on any potential art sales.

Studio Visit: Nibha Sikander an Sukhdev Rathod

10 Apr 2022 | Kashid

Bring your hat, shades & sunscreen on a Sun-day trip to the beachside home and studio of dynamic artist couple Nibha Sikander and Sukhdev Rathod. Away from the chaotic city, they’ve built (literally) a home and independent, diverse practices that draw from the surrounding lush, natural landscape.

We expect to get there by 11 AM followed by a light breakfast and a tour of the property and Sukhdev’s projects. We then break for a homely lunch served al-fresco before peeking into Nibha’s latest work. It’s a day-long excursion from Mumbai from about 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM depending on your chosen mode of transport so do account for that when making plans.
